FOTR7 Pirate's Lair #7-F

Cottage was great. Everything there that we needed, even a starter kit for our vacation including shampoo, conditioner, dishwasher tablets, dish detergent, scrubber, paper towels, trash bags, toilet paper, and other supplies. We loved the cottage also. Great front porch!!! Our dog loved the vaca too!

We loved our stay. The host was super responsive and met our every need. We did have to go and get a basketball but was totally worth the memories we made. The beach is very closed and easily accessible. The dune you walk over will definitely work your legs but once you make it over it the beach is right there. The house was clean and the beds are very comfortable. The bedrooms do get very warm at night but having the portable fans helped a ton. The only difference that could have been a little better is having the window unit in one of the bigger bedrooms but we understand why it was in the one bedroom because of the needed airflow in the room. The house was very comfortable though and we felt right at home once we arrived. We made memories that will last a lifetime.

Great place with a room with 4 twin beds for the kids. Water was always hot for showers, washer and dryer are larger which was great for towels. This was our third time staying here, and there is always an upgrade and good upkeep.

We truly felt like this was home away from home as soon as we arrived. Everyone had a space to get away, and the upstairs was perfect for our movie/cards/game nights. Short walk to the beach, over a small dune - that even our 13yr old Lab climbed a few times on his way to the ocean. It was just what we needed - and we will definitely return the next time we visit Frisco.

We loves our stay this past week as it was just me and my wife and the location made it effortless to get to the beach. Tremendous amount of room and the decks have excellent views. Would stay there again if at all possible next year

This was my first time working with a vacation Rental company, and I have to say that vacasa really exceeded my expectations. We went for 2 weeks for my 50th birthday and the 4th of July, and When we got there the air conditioning unit for downstairs was not working . It was kind of late so I messaged them first thing the next morning and they came out before one in the afternoon to bring window units for all of the bedrooms. That was such a relief because it was really difficult to sleep in the warm air. There was absolutely no hassle!! When the parts came in 3 days later, they fixed the unit without even letting us know until they needed to test it. The technicians were very friendly and very professional and above all very quick. So now for my review of the house LOL but honestly these vacation houses are only as good as the rental agency and I would definitely rent from vacasa again. This house had 2 levels and the top-level is the congregation area and the bottom level is the bedroom level. I am pretty sure that they enclosed a porch to create a fourth bedroom that has 4 small beds in it but it is perfect for anyone who might want to do a birthday party and have some people at night so that they don't drink and drive, or for a birthday party for a child and all the kids can sleep in the same room. The downstairs bathroom is en suite, Which was perfect for our group because our family used that 1 bathroom and let everybody else use the upstairs bathroom. We cook our meals so I was a little hesitant and even brought some of my own cookware but I can tell you as a home chef that everything that you need is there for sure, Even muffin tins and you don't usually get that in a rental. Bring plenty of bug spray if mosquitoes like you. Sitting out on that patio at night was really nice! There was plenty of seating for eating purposes and entertainment purposes. It would be fine for a group up to 15 probably. The walk to the beach was about 5 minutes and included one small hike over A dune and we had people in our Party with back problems and leg problems and we were still able to get to the beach. The beach itself is awesome and we had a great time body boarding in the surf! Everybody came back a little bit toner from going up and down 2 flights of stairs. It's not too bad though, like I said even the people who had physical issues were okay with it, they just took a little longer. Overall this was probably one of my favorite vacations, and we vacation a lot! Thank you, Vacasa, for supporting our rental so well. This now 50 year old will vacation with you again!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The beach was within a few minutes walk, you could see the sound from the deck, and the interior was nicely decorated. The house had plenty of room to accommodate all our guests and was pristine when we checked in. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

This house was perfect for our family of 7, plus our dog. We loved the layout of the upper level, with lots of open space (indoor & outdoor) for all of us to be together. The house is very well-equipped and the furnishings were comfortable. Just a few small areas of improvement needed: supply more kitchen garbage bags (we only had 2 for the whole week), make sure the floors are thoroughly cleaned between guests, and a new dishwasher might be in order since we had to hand wash almost every dish after they went through the dishwasher. We absolutely loved the location of Pirates Lair. It’s on a quiet residential street, and just a short walk to the beach. We found Frisco to be a great location to truly feel like a getaway but also have a few fun activities aside from the beach.

We were looking for a comfortable, casual beach house for our family of 7 (plus our dog) and this house suited us very well. Our only real complaint is that the floors were not clean when we arrived. We could feel sandy grit on every hard floor surface and the rug in the living room had very visible dirt and dog hair. I decided to vacuum but the vacuum cleaner was not sucking up anything. My husband had to clean out both of the vacuum cleaners at the house and even after that they only worked slightly better. Favorite things about the property include: location, layout of the house, amenities provided with the house. We loved the quiet, residential street and the short, pleasant walk to the beach. The upper level of the house has a perfect layout for everyone to be together comfortably. And the house was really well-stocked with everything you’d need in the kitchen (except for adequate dish towels and kitchen garbage bags - definitely lacking while we were there). We loved having so many board games to choose from, plus a variety of books (our 6 year especially loved all the childrens books!) Having the big dog crate all set up in the living room and ready to go was a BIG plus (and a surprise too). That came in so handy when we went to Ocracoke for the day! We mostly enjoyed the beach but we also took some time exploring the area: Graveyard of the Atlantic museum, Hatteras village, Ocracoke island. All low-key but fun excursions. We would definitely rent this house again, but I do hope they replace those vacuum cleaners in the near future.

The 1 minute walk to the beach was awesome. The house was plenty large enough for our 6 adults that stayed. the area is very quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed the beach, the small towns, the local shops and the fishing. Very slow paced atmosphere.

It was very clean. The 2 full bathrooms were excellent for our 3 families. Big kitchen with everything to make dinners. Linens came with. Small yard was great for the boys to play when not in the beach. Would def go again!
