Description

At outstanding ocean-side Sun Phun, your days will be bright, so bring your shades! The beach is a safe walk away at the end of the cul-de-sac, so don't worry about a long commute to white sand and crashing waves. Outside, the pool and enclosed area are perfect for lounging and playing with kids. The under-house carport, fish-cleaning station, and an outside bathroom with a shower add to Sun Phun's allure. The entry-level den is cozy and furnished with a TV and DVD player and a wet bar with a sink and a mini-fridge for entertaining the whole gang during downtime spent at home base. When you want to slip into relaxation mode, the hot tub is on the outside deck, just waiting to soothe sore walking legs. The laundry room is also on the same floor to keep sandy suits clean. The kitchen is well-equipped with modern appliances and a breakfast island, and the dining area with a table for eight is adjacent, making dining in a no-brainer. The great room is bright and cheerful, with a vaulted ceiling and a TV and DVD player. Sliding doors lead to a sundeck and a screened porch, perfect for kicking back with your family and friends all day and evening! Sun Phun is well-done, a perfect and relaxing home away from home. Things to Know The pool is open seasonally from April through mid-October. The pool will open seasonally from 04/01/2026 and close 10/10/2026. Dates are subject to change.

Our stay at Sun Phun was amazing. We’ve been coming to Hatteras for years now and this was our first year staying in a house instead of a condo due to our growing family. The house did not disappoint with three levels, a private pool, a hot tub, a short walk to the beach, and the best ice cream shop in OBX - Happy Belly - right across the street. We will definitely look to book this house again for next year’s trip!!!

The house was pretty much perfect. The week we spent at the beach started out a little cold and very windy and the rip tides were keeping everyone out of the ocean. We used the hot tub and pool almost every day. The house is well kept and has a ton of room. This was my first vacation ever and my wife’s first vacation since we’ve been married (almost 10 years). We would definitely rent this property again. Being able to bring our dog along with us made the vacation so much better than it would have been without him. I have no complaints about the property at all and feel it has everything you could want/need. There are several places to eat within walking distance but we did travel to restaurants and stores. If you’re not opposed to driving you can find anything you’d need within an hour.

Absolutely loved our stay here , the house had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable and the kids really enjoyed the pool ! The close walk to the beach was perfect for us to go shell hunting and enjoy the sand and waves . Hope to come back in the future and would definitely stay here again!

Great house, great location! Fully stocked with everything we needed and more. The pool and outdoor bathroom were wonderful. 5 minute walk to beach. Very comfortable for my family. Would highly recommend!

Awesome week at our favorite place in a great house

The location was great for short walks for ice cream and a short drive to the beach in our truck for the day. House was very clean and the pool was great for the kids after being on the beach all day. Would definitely stay here again.

The house was very clean and a very short walk to public access to the beach. The hot tub and pool were great and it was really nice to have the laundry available. Most importantly, we were able to bring our dog, who loved being with us ! There is a very nice yard space to walk the dog, which I’m not sure I saw at many other houses.

Great getaway location.

We really enjoyed being able to walk to the beach and being able to walk to local spots. Great views from the porch. Lots to do if you are ok driving north 30 minutes to one hour.

Great stay!

We really enjoyed our stay. Our only comments would be to have the pool cleaned more often (it was sandy due to wind and skimming couldn't get it) and also perhaps some beach chairs that renters could use. It was a great week. Thanks!!

Great stay in the off-season

Lovely home on three levels. Even with 8 adults, there was plenty of room. Very comfortable beds, kitchen was well equipped, and the hot tub was a pleasure.
