This condo has everything you need and it's right on the beach! Down in the road, within walking distance, is Kat's Deli, which has delicious sandwiches!

We had a great stay at this condo. It is in the perfect location…the top floor, overlooking the beautiful ocean. It is a short drive to restaurants. The decor is so cute, great for a beach condo, and the kitchen is well stocked. We didn’t really need much though because we ate out every night. We enjoyed staying here.

We did like the place overall. We would book again at this place. Place was very clean and fortunately we could park by the elevator in a handicap spot all week. Nice laundry room. Pool and hot tub was cleaned every morning. It was very nice and clean! We were on the top floor- for us no roof over balcony was a disappointment. Thank you for allowing us to give a review.

It was very clean and a balcony overlooking the ocean.....what's not to like. Being able to hear the ocean at night while you sleep is awesome. It's very quiet! I didn't hear anyone on either side of me or anyone walking outside.

Two bed room condo A well maintained condo. Kitchen had everything you need. Love the two types of coffee makers. Plenty of room for what my “sister” and I needed. Living room area nice and furniture clean. Only thing I missed from home was a recliner chair! Love the balcony and balcony furniture Wonderful view from the balcony! Bedrooms nice and nice master bathroom. Only request would be master bathroom could use the taller commode. Just a suggestion!!! Thanks for sharing your beach condo with us. This was our 3 year staying in condo 302. Already booked for 2026

Whale Watch is one of my favorite units. I always feel at home and comfortable during my stay. What's not to love? It's comfortable and well stocked and the views are breathtaking!!! I always look forward to coming back.

Excellent ocean views & access, well-stocked kitchen, nicely furnished, and well-maintained. Good layout of 2 bedrooms each with private bath. Fingers crossed that the one elevator is functioning (not a guarantee), especially for load-in and load-out.

We spent a wonderful Christmas week staying in Whale Watch . The property was well stocked and it was obvious the owners cared about our comfort. We made wonderful memories in this peaceful condo and would recommend this rental to anyone who enjoys the peace and tranquility that Whale Watch offers.

We really enjoyed our stay at Whale Watch. This was our fifth time staying at Durant Station. This condo along with the other two have all been wonderful experiences. The views are beautiful and sunsets are breathtaking. It is very well equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. We loved waking up in the morning, and the first thing we saw was the blue ocean waves. We will definitely be back!

We love staying on Hatteras Island in May and September/October. We don't need a boardwalk or exciting activities. We only want to enjoy the beach.

This top floor unit has all you need for a week or 2 at the beach. Great views of the ocean, comfortable furniture inside and out. I liked the use of the outside shed area for beach toys and chairs. Will definitely be back!

First time renting a condo. Top floor has beautiful ocean views, closest walk possible to the beach, condo furnishings were amazing and all up to date (no mid-matching of old furniture). King bed was super comfortable to sleep on, wonderful to spend time watching the ocean from the deck and the entire condo was super clean. We'll coming back next year - we loved it.

Whale Watch is a beautiful condo. One of my favorites, for sure. It's comfortable and clean and kitchen in well stocked. The views from the deck are priceless. We always enjoy our trips to Hatteras. But this stay was extra special. We will definitely be back.

Everything was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our week. Plenty of dishes and pot/pans to cook in the condo. Great pool and beach access. We loved the lockers on the ground floor to keep our beach gear.

We wanted something on the beach and away from the hustle and bustle of some of the more commercial spots on Hatteras Island, and this fit the bill perfectly. We loved being able to walk right out to the less crowded beach and waking up each morning and enjoying a sip of coffee while listening to the ocean is great. We also had fun hunting for ghost crabs. You’re also close to the ferry to Ocracoke which is a great place to spend a day. I will say that dining options are a bit limited and you have a fair drive back to some of the other spots you might want to visit (about 90 min back to Nag’s Head to see Bodie Lighthouse). It was exactly what we wanted but that will depend on your preference. One other comment - the elevator was not working during our stay, which means you’re climbing to the 4th floor. Didn’t bother us at all but it did make packing up the car to head for home. We found the condo perfect and we will definitely try to book here again when we come back to OBX.

We had never been to the OBX and had no clue where to stay and stumbled upon this condo. It was perfect! Loved the location. Beaches were not crowded at all. After doing some research we found plenty of places to have dinner. Condo was super clean, views were amazing. Perfect for our vacation! We will definitely be back :)

Whale watch was clean, easily accessible via car and elevator. The view was awesome. The only thing it needed was an extra set of towels and wash clothes. It was a really nice place.

From our first step into Whale Watch, our stay was amazing. The condo was very well appointed, we had everything we needed. The view was incredible. Every morning my husband and I sat on the balcony drinking our coffee, watching the fishing boats, pelicans and dolphins always kept us amused. The only thing I hated was leaving. Can't wait to book our next stay. Thank you Whale Watch for a relaxing week and memories that will last a lifetime.

Whale Watch has SO much to love! The master bedroom on the ocean side, a large comfortable deck for sun and moon rise, the views and sounds of the ocean's times and tides and all the amenities you'll need! This was our 2nd visit and we WILL BE BACK!

We stayed at Whale Watch from July 10th to July 24th and the condo is wonderful. The owners have decorated it very nicely and there is nothing better than laying in bed during the night and listening to the ocean. We love Hatteras Village and the location of Durant Station. We highly recommend Whale Watch and plan on renting it again. We have been going to the Outer Banks since 1985 and 2 weeks is not enough time to enjoy the wonderful area.

If you asked if this was Heaven? I would have say close but its Hatteras! We arrived at night from a long drive from New York, so we hit the hay early and woke to the sounds and smells of Beach life on the Outer banks. Our condo had all the essentials and comforts of home! This vacation was just what the doctor ordered!, We got familiar quickly with the area and found a few great dinner spots with great food and ambience. Our greatest memory of this vacation was our niece got engaged on the beach and we were there to witness the moment!. We most definetly will be back next year as we are addicted to the life on the Outer Banks! Jimmy & Janie
