Wahoo Unit #102 is a first-floor suite that comes with a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings, three flatscreen TVs, two DVD players, and a stereo/CD player for your enjoyment. The Durant Station Condominiums offer spectacular ocean views from every property. This condo has a private oceanfront deck, as well as a sound-side deck for viewing colorful sunsets. Elevator service to all levels makes Durant Station a most convenient choice for all ages: no need to haul luggage and groceries up long flights of stairs! Guests are just a few short steps to the ocean via a private wooden walkway. The Hatteras area offers some of the best fishing and sunbathing on the East Coast. At Durant Station, you'll enjoy a host of amenities, including one of Hatteras Island's largest private pools, with an adjacent hot tub available April 1st to January 2nd. The Durant Station Community Center is crowned by the original historic Durant Lifesaving Station tower, a rich piece of Hatteras Island's past. You'll find the Community Center ideal for relaxing with friends, conducting meetings, wedding parties and receptions, or simply enjoying the lounge areas, which offer a large-screen 50-inch plasma TV, and a complete kitchen on the upper level. The Durant Station complex consists of three floors, which start about 12 feet above the ground. All Durant Station condos have central AC, TV with streaming, Satellite HDTV with a DVR, high-speed WiFi for your devices, and solid surface counters in the kitchen. Centrally located on the first floor is a coin-operated laundry facility with an ocean view. A large, separate fish-cleaning station, barbecue grills, and outdoor shower facilities complete the picture. The Durant Station Condominiums are located in Hatteras Village, oceanfront on Highway 12. Enjoy being beachfront and near local restaurants and shops. THINGS TO KNOW This home has access to a community pool, the community pools in our area are typically open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Community pools are operated at the discretion of the community HOA so the availability schedule may be subject to change without notice.

We’ve stayed at this location for over 20 years through numerous Realty companies and we’ve stayed at wahoo a lot of times. We like the location and wahoo has been reasonably maintained. The front door need weather stripping a bottom fifth to keep critters out, although we did not see any. Management needs to have an avenue to reel in people with their noisy dogs and more importantly their screaming, crying, stomping children at all hours. We like durrant station, but 10 new houses have gone up and our once quiet beach is another nags head soon.

The location is great, convenient to nice restaurants in Hatteras Village and just a few steps from miles of walkable beach. The unit was clean. The bed was comfortable. Some nice towels (towels are small and not absorbent) would be nice as well as bathrobes. Also, more hand soap - 2 very small bars were not enough even for 2 people for 3 days.

We were able to get early access which was awesome after a long drive. The apartment was so tastefully decorated and had all of the comforts of home. Everything was clean and fresh. The access to the beach was great for morning walks and sitting in the afternoon sun. It was great to watch the dolphins play as they swam back and forth in front of us. Everyone is friendly and Vacasa was great asking if all of our needs were met. The seating on the deck was great to sit out on at night and listen to the waves crashing in making it so relaxing. We never know what the weather will be going in early April but we have been lucky the last couple of years to having it be on our side. Always sad to go but already looking forward to the next trip!
