Wind Top Unit #306 is a third-floor suite that is tastefully decorated and offers a flatscreen TV in both the living room and bedroom along with a DVD player and a stereo/CD player. The Durant Station Condominiums offer spectacular ocean views from every property. The suite offers a private oceanfront deck, as well as a sound-side deck for viewing colorful sunsets. Elevator service to all levels makes Durant Station a most convenient choice for all ages: no need to haul luggage and groceries up long flights of stairs! Guests are just a few short steps to the ocean via a private wooden walkway. The Hatteras area offers some of the best fishing and sunbathing on the East Coast. At Durant Station you'll enjoy a host of amenities including one of Hatteras Island's largest private pools with an adjacent hot tub available April 1 to January 2. The Durant Station Community Center is crowned by the original historic Durant Lifesaving Station tower, a rich piece of Hatteras Island's past. You'll find the Community Center ideal for relaxing with friends, conducting meetings, wedding parties and receptions, or simply enjoying the lounge areas, which offer a large-screen 50-inch plasma TV, and a complete kitchen on the upper level. The Durant Station complex consists of three floors, which start about 12 feet above the ground. This unit has been tastefully furnished (there are new mattresses on every bed!) and fully equipped with central air-conditioning, cable TV with steaming, Satellite HDTV with a DVR, high-speed WiFi for your devices, and solid surface counters in the kitchen. Centrally located on the first floor is a coin-operated laundry facility with an ocean view. A large separate fish-cleaning station, barbecue grills, and outdoor shower facilities complete the picture. The Durant Station Condominiums are located in Hatteras Village, oceanfront on Highway 12. Enjoy being beachfront and near local restaurants and shops. THINGS TO KNOW This home has access to a community pool, the community pools in our area are typically open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Community pools are operated at the discretion of the community HOA so the availability schedule may be subject to change without notice.

Great location, right on ocean, beautiful view. Large pool. Boardwalk to pool and down to beach. Plenty of storage space in all rooms except maybe bathroom. Love large closet in bedroom. Decor excellent. Comfortable bed. We enjoyed our unit very, very much.

What we loved most about this unit were the ocean views, of course! Even when the weather is not ideal, it is still very enjoyable to look right outside the glass doors and see the beautiful seashore. The balcony is perfect for watching the sun rise. We appreciated having use of the game room & large kitchen area in the Clubhouse. This is our 4th time staying at Durant Station and would not stay anywhere else on the island. :) PS...housekeeping staff do a great job!

Windtop was great. It was clean, comfortable, well equipped, nicely decorated. We lucked out with warm sunny weather. Loved the view and listening to the surf. Enjoyed a day trip to Ocracoke. Had a delicious seafood boil from Harborhouse Seafood and great muffins from The Dancing Turtle and fried oysters at Pops Raw Bar.

The Wind Top is clean, cozy and has an absolutely fantastic view! This condo has everything you need, it is just perfect for us. We have already made our reservation for 2024 so, Lord willing, we will be at the Wind Top again next year... looking forward to it!!
