Welcome to Southern Comfort Cabana, an exquisite adult-only condo located in the serene paradise of Hatteras, NC. This charming retreat is designed for couples or friends seeking a peaceful getaway, offering stunning ocean views and a plethora of amenities to enhance your stay. With a spacious deck featuring a beautiful Amish‑crafted porch swing and covered dining area, where additional rain coverage beneath the deck provides a shaded, weather‑protected outdoor area. This well-appointed condo includes a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances, a cozy living area with a sofa bed, and a comfortable queen bed for restful nights. Stay connected with complimentary internet access and unwind with cable TV after a day of adventure. For those looking to explore, bikes are available for use (adults with drivers license) at your own risk. An air pump station is conveniently located under the unit for those who lower their tires for beach driving/fishing is provided for your convenience instead of driving around for air fill ups. What's nearby: Hatteras village remains the most original of the island's seven villages. Many of the residents still make their livings from the sound and sea. The island's charter fleet to the Gulf Stream and into the Pamlico Sound is headquartered in Hatteras. The island's premier restaurants and fish shops have the first choice of the freshest catch. Be sure to schedule a visit to the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum and a trip to Ocracoke Island via the free ferry. Rent a golf cart for your relaxing week, or if you have access to a 4-wheel-drive vehicle, the ramp to beach driving (permit required) in the park is located at the south end of the village. Let the Southern Comfort Cabana be your comfortable and affordable headquarters to explore Hatteras Island. The beach is 200-feet away. You can park your vehicle right under the home. Please note: Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details around this facility will be shared in your check-in email and during the check-in process. The club is typically open Mid-May to Mid-October, depending on weather.

Roof top deck overlooking the ocean and skyline was my favorite. Great storage space in and outside of home. Picnic areas, grills and great surf side beach access. Will definitely be planning another stay here!

What can I say about this place? Well we loved it. It was right at the beach. I'm sure we will b back there again. Clean and beautiful views from the top deck. A shower on the walk way to rinse off. I would go back tomorrow but off to work i go. Enjoy it every one

The rooftop deck is everything! Sit up there to watch for dolphins during the day and stare up at the stars at night. The Cabana is well kept and clean. We really enjoyed our stay.

We love the cabanas, and Southern Comfort was an ideal layout. We love the beach access and close proximity to the ferry. We left our truck unlocked accidentally all night, but it’s such a nice neighborhood that it wasn’t even bothered.

Cute petite place to stay definitely would keep it at 2 adults maybe 2 kids. Possibly 3 adults but not 4. Great view. Very relaxing and has all you need.

The name says it all! Very comfy home away from home. Quiet and peaceful. Great view from the upper deck. Loved the underneath parking. Short walk to the beach. Great location. Close to everything. Well equipped kitchen. Love the dual Kurég to make a pot of coffee or single serve.

This is the third time I have rented this cabana, which should tell you something about how much I like it. The walk to the beach is easy, and you can also walk to several restaurants, the post office, and an ice cream shop! Though it is a small space, there's lots of space to store your belongings. There is everything you need here, from measuring cups, a blender, crock pot, coffee maker, rolling pin, etc. on and on. Just unpack and relax. The owner recently weather sealed the deck and added a large storage bin on the main deck for storing things like beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. Again, this is my third stay at this cabana, and I love it!

Such an amazing trip! Was very sad online said it was not pet friendly but everywhere around me were dogs. Property even had doggie poo areas. Not sure why it said no pets if pets were allowed. Beach access was awesome. Loved the rooftop !

This is the best place we have ever stayed on vacation. We were here for 5 days and it was perfect. Clean, functional, tidy, cute, good location, all around absolutely perfect. Will recommend this place for anyone looking to visit OBX!

A great little place close to the beach; can’t beat the location! Vacasa was great with communication about our booking, expectations, etc. Considering we were visiting for the beach and sunshine, this little cabana provided for us given the little amount of time spent there, but it could use some attention to detail.

As a family of three the location was amazing. The beach access and pool were easy walks even for a toddler!

The colors and decorations were very nice and the kitchen had everything you would need and more! I was pleasantly surprised that there was a k-cup coffee maker as I was only expecting a regular coffee maker. The only downfall was the bed was a little to firm/hard, but some may prefer a more firm mattress so that is just a personal preference. I loved the walk in shower and the complimentary soaps, kitchen sponge, toilet paper and towels were nice. There was dishwasher soap too, but there wasn’t a dishwasher so I am not sure why that would be supplied. The only suggestion that I think was helpful in other cabanas I stayed in would be to label the light switches since there are quite a few. Overall it is a nice cabana with beautiful views!

This was the second time I stayed at this cabana. I love it. The beach is just over the dune, the community is quiet, everything you might need is close by. Booking and check-in was easy. Not having to keep track of a key is great! 10/10 highly recommend!

I loved that it was just right for the two of us on our 31 year Wedding Anniversary. I really loved the fact that it had an upstairs deck with an ocean view. I would definitely recommend this as a getaway!

My husband and I spent a week at this cabana in late Dec.-early Jan. The layout of the cabana cleverly makes the best use of the small space, and it was just the right size for the 2 of us. We really enjoyed the 2 levels of decks, and the good weather allowed us to spend a lot of time outside. The nearby beach access was a plus. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed at a different unit 2 years ago and this place is much better. The unit has been updated, well decorated and well maintained. We got clean/relatively new sheets, towels and dinner wares. They even have a Keurig coffee maker. We were very pleased with everything and will definitely look for this unit again next time we're in the area.

Southern comfort was a great place to stay. Just enough room for two. Everything you need. Must say an added plus was the bag of ice and ice trays in the freezer when we arrived. Very appreciative that the towels, toilet paper and paper towels were supplied. Would stay here again.
