Perfection says it all with lavish furnishings throughout, and this year, added to the well-equipped kitchen are all new kitchen appliances, along with soft-close cabinets and drawers. The kitchen is truly a gourmet cook's delight with everything you need for cooking that special meal, including under the cabinet lighting. Enjoy your dinner in the dining area or dine alfresco on the deck overlooking the canal and sound for a more casual feel. The main bedroom has a tropical feel, in which you can relax and soak in the jetted tub after the day's adventures or curl up with a good book on the window seat. Wake up and enjoy spectacular sunrises as you walk out onto the deck from the main bedroom. Comfortable deck furniture is just the spot for lounging with your morning coffee or an after-dinner drink. New deck 2025. The second bedroom is a private oasis (with a new mattress for your comfort) that features a full bath and a TV. For The Shell of It has been decorated with vibrant colors that resemble the sunrise at the beach and has everything you need to relax after a long day at the pool or beach - just bring your bathing suit and your suntan lotion. There are three HDTVs. A top-of-the-line entertainment center that features a surround sound system, a Blu-ray player, an iPod docking station, free WiFi, and plenty of books and games to enjoy on rainy days. You can also access additional storage below the condo on the first floor to store your bikes or fishing gear and surfing equipment. For the Shell of it is located in the waterfront community of Slash Creek, which offers a relaxing pool and tranquil walking paths. This condo is conveniently located near the fish cleaning station as you are close to world-class fishing, 4x4 ocean and sound access, and many fine restaurants.

This condo is one of the most well maintained, supplied, colorful, inviting places Ive stayed. Everything worked as it should, AC, appliances, water, stove, tv’s, lights etc. Easy access 1st floor, close to elevator. No smells!! Just a super nice condo.

We have stayed in numerous units in Slash Creek. We love these condos. For the Shell of It is by far the cleanest unit we have stayed it. The furniture was comfortable. The A/C actually worked as well as the elevator.

The place is really nice; clean. Furnishings and appliances are nice & well chosen. The Vacasa people a were very helpful and were very accessible when needed. The owners also very friendly and helpful. This location is ideal for people who like to fish. Highly recommended. One suggestion: Tell prospective tenants that the ground level is NOT the first floor. One can’t open those doors to the storage rooms.

The owners of this property are so welcoming, friendly, and easy to interact with. They contacted us about a week and half out from our reservation, welcoming us and touching base. From that first contact to the rest of the time there was dialogue with the homeowners it was always easy and friendly. Upon arrival there was a lovely hand written card from the owners personally welcoming us and a bottle of wine with a ribbon. The entire Slash Creek development is excellent, quiet, very clean and well maintained. It has everything you need to clean up after a day on the beach or out on the boat before you go to into your home. The pool is very nice. A nice touch on the property are all the variety of blooming plants and makes it really pretty. For The Shell of It is beautifully decorated, comfortable and very nice quality furniture and mattresses. Throughout the home there are glass ocean themed art pieces, along with other beach themed artwork and little points of interest that really give this place a very nice touch. Everything is very well appointed. It is stocked with all the get you going things before you hit the grocery store with paper towels, toilet paper, dish sponge, detergent for dishwasher, dish washing, washing machine, bathroom soaps and body lotion, garbage bags. There are an ample amount of towels and the owner said if you need more, Vacasa is across the street from Slash Creek and we could go right over and get more. Kitchen cabinets, refrigerator and freezer, oven, microwave, and everything else in the kitchen you need to cook with and eat with is all wonderfully clean. Bathrooms are really nice, very clean and just as thoughtful and well appointed as the rest of the house. They have made a very nice binder filled with all kinds of great info for the stay in and around the property, for exploring the area, for the entertainment system. Good need-to-know info on the fridge. Pretty much if you don't know it is not on the property owners, you aren't reading all the info that makes a difference in the ease and comfort of your stay, for the respect of their property and the entire Slash Creek property. The digital lock on the door is super easy and great not having to keep up with a key. The deck is perfect and has comfy and quality furniture. The view is beautiful and you relax and smile! Sitting there you can see deer, a variety of birds, butterflies, beautiful skies, and a great view of the inlet and out into the sound. This is place is convenient to everything in Hatteras Village. Everyone in OBX and in Hatteras Village is so welcoming and happy to help you. The owners have gone above and beyond thinking of everything to make your stay feel homey, comfortable, and clearly want to exceed their guests expectations and experience at For The Shell of It. It was wonderful and perfect week in OBX and grateful for the care that the owners have for their guests staying at For The Shell of It.

Third time staying at Slash Creek Condos and first time in this one. Did not disappoint!! First, the homeowner reached out a couple weeks prior to our arrival. Very friendly and just wanted to make sure we didn’t have any questions. Her condo is beautiful, clean, and we felt at home. Everything felt new. Kitchen is perfectly organized and equipped. Very large master bedroom and bath. Loved sitting on the deck that overlooked the canal. Morning coffee as the sun rose. Loved the porch furniture. Very quiet here. Maybe it wasn’t a busy week but felt very private. Pool was perfect. My family and I usually like to try out a different house/condo every year but agree that this is our favorite and will definitely book again next year!

Everything we needed was right there! Every kitchen gadget even storage containers.Condo was super clean and well maintained. The only small issue was the door locking it took several tries to get it to lock successfully. Other than that everything was perfect.

This is a lovely, super comfortable condo overlooking Slash Creek! Vacation oriented and cool and quiet. The kitchen is a dream and we made many meals with local fresh fish. Beach access was close by and renting a golf cart made it all very easy. The community pool is a real plus.
