Beautiful house and very clean and right on the water just a tiny walk to the beach. Just a note that you cannot see the water from the deck. The view of the dunes is still beautiful though.

Hunter Haven was great! Exactly as described. The house was very clean upon arrival and check in was easy. Great location (oceanfront) with easy access to the beach, and really close to restaurants, etc. in Hatteras. We had everything we needed during our stay. The beds were really comfortable and the layout of the dining/living room with sliding doors to the back deck was perfect! I would definitely recommend the house to others and we'd love to stay there again on our next visit.

The house was amazing. We have zero complaints. I wouldn’t recommend Vacasa. The check in/out times are ridiculous. And don’t plan on utilizing Club Hatteras. We did, considering how they use it as a selling point and we regret it. The pool and surrounding area is poorly maintained with multiple safety hazards and disgusting water. Do better Vacasa.

We had a wonderful stay! The only concern was that the bottom of the shower (shower floor) was very slippery. I recommend some non slip stickers be put on it. We love the new floors in the house! The house fits our needs very nicely, it it clean and quiet. We love the beach decor at this beach house. The back deck is perfect for sitting on in the morning sipping coffee and listening to the ocean waves! This is the 2nd year we have stayed at this property. We love it! It is also dog friendly for our 2 little dogs! Thanks you!

Perfect for our family of four with our dog. Beautiful cottage, easy beach access. The cottage was quaint with books and beach decor, comfy beds and furniture and well-equipped kitchen.

We absolutely loved this home, it was perfect for my boyfriend & I! The furniture was comfortable, and the beds were so comfortable. Plenty of room for the two of us, with more than enough room for extra guests if you have them. I loved everything about the decor - thoughtfully & tastefully decorated to perfection. We never turned the television on once, we used wifi to bluetooth music through our speakers and had such a peaceful, relaxing week. The sand path to the beach is a gentle slope, and the boardwalk is close by as well. I've stayed at several houses on Summerplace Drive, and have always wondered about the little cabin on the oceanfront. Now I know, it's a gem! We will definitely be back, as Hatteras is my second home. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

This house was perfection for our family of 4 with two dogs, the monster houses aren’t necessary for us and it’s hard to find a smaller pet friendly house on the beach. So this was all we needed! Plenty of space and all we needed. Loved the way they kept the nostalgic old beach house items while also keeping it up to date. Access to the beach was amazing. We will happily consider returning!

We've stayed at this home 3 years now and its perfect for our smaller family of 4-6 people that have varied over the years and our pets! It's right in the heart of hatteras village with easy access to everything. The beach walk is steep but we usually off-road anyway and go down there for only beach walks. The house is well-maintained and bathrooms nicely renovated. They have everything you'd need in terms of kitchen and living spaces, and whats great for us is a dog crate! Love this home and hope to be back again!

We had an awesome week at Hunter Haven! The beach decor was perfect! We had everything we needed and wanted. The king bed was roomy and comfy. The kitchen was well equipped. We were happy we could bring along our 2 little dogs Yogi and Clementine who had a great time. We found amazing shells and the weather was perfect. The food was delicious. I recommend Pelican gallery and gifts! Thanks for a wonderful vacation! Dawn and Scott

It was a very comfortable place and for the most part clean, we would love to stay again. The only issue was the master Bedroom shower drained very slow and the recliner chairs were broken.

I think it was perfect for our family and had EVERYTHING we needed to make it a great beach stay. Location to the beach and the location in neighborhood was awesome. Definitely plan to come back here.

This is the perfect beach cottage. It has a wonderful deck and easy access to the beach. The kitchen is well equipped.

Tastefully furnished cottage close to beach. Old school OBX beach box steps from the ocean. Just the right size. We loved it!

We loved the intimate nature of this home. A smaller house tucked between mansions allowed us to stay beachfront right in hatteras village! It’s an adorable cottage that fit my husband, myself, and our fur family perfectly. It had a quick, essentially private, short beach walk and the street had only a handful of other homes making their stretch of beach feel even more secluded. The home itself had everything we needed and then some. Our favorite aspects were the large deck where you can hear the ocean waves 24/7, perfectly sized rooms, bathrooms, and kitchen, and the protected parking that’s under the house (very helpful when you’re packing in the rain)! We’ve stayed in several homes in Hatteras and loved this one so much we’ve already booked for next year!

We visited in August and definitely enjoyed our stay. For being in the second half of the season, this beach box was in good shape. The home has a nice layout with updated bathrooms, fully functioning appliances, comfortable beds and seating. The kitchen was well stocked with all kinds of essentials and neatly organized, so everything was easy to find and put away when finished. I give Hunter Haven five stars for being inviting, comfortable, and clean. If you’re good with going up and over the dune (which others do use—FYI), you will enjoy this property.

This was the best medicine for post winter blues! The house was so beautiful and clean! The kitchen was stocked better than my own home! The appliances were top notch. We really did not need to bring a thing! The decor was beautifully orchestrated with a beach theme. We loved having an outside shower to wash off beach sand and an outside fish filleting table for our numerous catches! Weather was ideal and fishing availability is numerous in the area. Hattaras is a quiet town which we desired. For those thinking of a town for a true quiet vacation, it has all you need. Red and White grocery store is within .9 miles and is well stocked. Bait stores, several restaurants, charter fishing, pier fishing, miles of beaches are all available. Kudos to your service and the landowner for the best vacation we had in years! We will return!

We enjoyed a wonderful week at this home with our kids and dogs. Fantastic location and beach access, perfect for our family of 4. Kitchen is well-equipped and has a lovely view of the ocean. Comfy, high-quality Adirondack chairs on the deck. Very close to the town of Hatteras, less than a mile from ice cream, great local bakery, and small grocery store. Will definitely seek to visit this home again!

Compared with all the monstrosities that crowd the beaches of the Outer Banks, this little house blends well with its environment. You can hear and listen to the ocean all day and all night long. Very soothing! If you want to, you can take a walk on the beach all the way to the edge of the island. The kitchen equipment works fine. The sitting room furniture is also fine and helps you relax nicely. You can even listen to CDs on a Blu-ray. All in all, you will very likely want to book the place again.

This property was perfect for our family of four. The house has a great layout, good-sized rooms, tons of counter space in the kitchen, and comfortable seating in the living room. The proximity to the ocean can't be beat. I wish there were more of these smaller rentals in the OBX!

The place looks better in person than the pictures. It accommodated our family comfortably. The access to the beach is either a steep dune or walkway a house away. Not quite what I expected with an oceanfront cottage but overall it is worth the price!
