We had an absolutely perfect stay! The location was amazing, just steps to the beach! Extremely responsive host (even when we arrived a little early from our 12 hour road trip!) and the elevator was a huge plus for taking luggage up to the top floor!
Definitely highly recommend!

The house is beautiful and exactly as described. Perfect location for being right on the beach and watching stunning sunrises. We like to come to Rodanthe in the off season for the peace and empty beaches- this was a great space to decompress. One minor issue was the cleanliness of the kitchen upon arrival- we had to do a deep clean of our own before doing anything else. The freezer had some type of slime in it, the floor was sticky and when we wiped it down the towels were black with dirt, and we had to rewash all of the glasses/silverware/plates. Also there was grime/debris on the stove top. Everywhere else in the house was spotless. The pool table was a nice touch and our baby benefited from the high chair that was provided. Would stay here again!

Originally booked, then last minute hosts cancelled our reservation due to hosts changing. Had to rebook as we’d already booked flights. Ended up being charged more for the same booking and then had hassle trying to get the door code as they couldn’t find our new booking. Not the best experience.

Wonderful house steps to the beach. Beautifully decorated spacious house convenient to several restaurants and grocery stores. Many balconies in house with spectacular ocean views. Elevator made moving in and out so easy. Pool and hot tub clean. Game room with mini frig and pool table with easy access to pool and a balcony with beautiful ocean views. Easy walk to fishing pier.

We stayed at Madjoy for one week. We loved the location. The beach was a short easy walk. Several restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Parking for the house was convenient. The house was clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was spacious and included all necessary supplies. The elevator was helpful to load and unload luggage and groceries. The pool and hot tub were well maintained. The pool table in the game room was great. Vacasa was efficient and polite to deal with. I hope we can stay here again. It was a wonderful experience.

Loved the ability to walk quickly to our spot on the beach everyday. We also enjoyed fire pits on the beach, the hot tub, and all of the balconies. Shops, treats, and a fun bar with local music were walking distance. House is a little worn and does not have a grill, but can't beat the location.

The location and convenience to the beach was fantastic. The private pool and hot tubs were great to have for the evenings. You will need to bring your own grill if you want to do any cooking outdoors. The kitchen is also limited in the amount of utensils and cookware. We had to go buy extra pots and pans. We had a large group and since the property is a ways from any restaurants, we did a lot of cookng in the mornings for breakfast. This was mentioned in the private comments so hopefully this won't be a problem going forward. Overall the stay was very comfortable .

We loved our stay at this property! We had 10 guests total (7 adults, 3 kids) and the house was perfect for accommodating our large group. We especially loved the convenient access to the beach. This was our first time visiting the Outer Banks and everyone in our party raved about this house. You won't regret booking it!

We had a truly wonderful stay at this home! It was the perfect getaway for our family with young children. The house was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. The gated-in pool area provided so much peace of mind—perfect for keeping the kids safely corralled and easily watched while they played. We also loved the outdoor shower and dining area, which made cleanup a breeze and gave us a great space for relaxed outdoor meals.While the home does have lots of stairs, the incredible views from the upper levels made every step worth it. The elevator was a huge bonus—especially for moving luggage or helping tired kids up to bed after a long beach day. Speaking of the beach, the easy access made shell-hunting and surf play a daily highlight for the kids, while we soaked in the beauty and calm from the shoreline.The kitchen and dining area were beautifully furnished and spacious, giving us a cozy yet elegant space for family meals and gathering together. Sunrises on the balcony were unforgettable, and every detail of the home contributed to a stay full of sweet memories. We would absolutely love to return!

We love the house and its location. Access to the beach was a stone throw away. The pool and hot tub were extremely clean as was the inside of the house. We found the elevator very useful, it was very much appreciated for loading luggage and kitchen supplies.

We were 10: my husband, our 4 young adult children and their friend or fiancé. The house is roomy and comfortable. It was perfectly designed for our group. We came before Spring break: a bit chilly but super quiet and wild. The house basically lays on the beach. With a wetsuit, we enjoyed surfing: awesome waves. We even encountered dauphins by the shore. Only take back: few cutlery and little soap, Scott towels and other disposable like garbage bags. Otherwise 10/10! We wouldn’t hesitate to come back!

Lovely home with amazing view. Beach right out the back door. Clean. WiFi and cable spotty, but that was same for the entire area and couldn’t be helped. Traveled with 4 adults and 3 kids. Ages 10-17. Very comfortable and pleasant stay. Would recommend home. Vacasa automated check in and out extremely convenient,

Loved Madjoy 232. Great house and views. Ice Maker in game room did not work and there was only 1 pool table stick but otherwise everything was good.

Not everything is perfect in the world, the house did have a few issues that were addressed promptly. It was clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen to make family meals. The proximity to the ocean and having the pool is great when you have small children. The balconies were wonderful to sit on and listen to the ocean at night as well as watch the storms roll in.

We LOVED our stay here! It is well equipped for all your needs. The kitchen was well equipped to make meals and entertain. The views are spectacular! There are decks off all the rooms on the front and back of the house allowing plenty of space to hang out and watch the sun rise and set! You are mere steps from the beach! Parking can be a little tricky depending on the sand as the dune is at the driveway but we did not have any issues. The elevator was an awesome feature to bring up luggage and groceries and going from the ground level to the top floor as it is a reverse floor plan house. The pool and hot tub were clean and clear. There were plenty of towels for everyone and the house was spotless. The few minor items that could use attention did not affect our stay at all (cupboard track bent, one working pool stick, hot tub cover torn, first floor ice machine didnt make ice) and were non issues. The beds were comfy and had great views and decks. The wifi worked great for all our gear. If you want to be as close to the beach as possible, this is your place! The pier is a block away and a few steps up the beach. It is a more laid back area and not as crowded as the Nags Head/KDH areas so less touristy stuff to do, but those are within a short, beautiful drive! Make sure you go one day early after watching the sunrise to Orange Blossom Cafe and get apple uglies! They sell out quick! Did I mention the views?? We will be renting Madjoy again for sure! We had a blast and cannot wait to be back!

This was our 3rd time at MadJoy. We clearly love the house. With the only exception being all the stairs when the elevator is not functioning. Beach access is perfect.

We stayed at Madjoy before the pandemic shut us all in and liked it so much we returned this year. Our family of 9 grew to ten so it was a bit tight but the proximity to the beach and the elevator made reserving it again a no brainer. Our girls are already talking about reserving it again next year!

This house is absolutely fantastic! First off, the house was immaculate! The cleaning crew did an AMAZING job…not one piece of dust or dirt anywhere (which is something I always worry about). The kitchen had every piece of equipment you could possibly need (including small appliances like a crockpot, blender, hand mixer, electric griddle). The beds & linens were clean & comfy. The hot tub and pool were clean and ready to use when we arrived. The elevator was extremely convenient for loading/unloading our luggage (and on mornings after rambunctious nights)! The access to the beach was literally steps away from the house! The views of both the ocean (from the front) & sound (from the back) were indescribable! The only downside is there’s not many stores/shops in Rodanthe…but if you come prepared w/groceries or don’t mind driving 25 minutes north or south (which are beautiful drives), then you’ll be fine. The entire family wants to book this house again next year! Thank you Vacasa for an AMAZING vacation!

Beautiful home, updated kitchen was great! Loved how close it was to the ocean and Avon pier and the gameroom was an added bonus! The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable.
