Description

Waves of Lunasea offers a private pool and hot tub, a relaxing interior with comfortably furnished rooms, and a wealth of recent updates for your home entertainment. Five beautiful bedrooms offer a king bed, two queen beds, and two pyramid beds with trundles when it's time to catch a few winks. Generous windows in the living room, dining area, and kitchen afford beautiful views of the outdoors and let in plenty of bright sunlight. Furnished sundecks with Trex furnishings coax you outdoors to take in gorgeous ocean views, while sound views can be seen from the porch. After a day spent at the beach, come home to rinse off in the outdoor shower, take a dip in the pool, and unwind in the relaxing hot tub. Play volleyball in the backyard or basketball in the driveway, sneak an afternoon nap in one of two hammocks, and sip cold drinks at the tropical bar as your favorite music plays on the outdoor speakers. Sear your meals to perfection on the grill and dine alfresco on the picnic table. Afterward, gather around the firepit and roast s'mores to complement the delicious meal. There's plenty of indoor fun to be had here as well, especially up on the third floor with its 65-inch TV, entertainment center with over 100 DVDs, and game nook with a Pac-Man arcade game, an air hockey table, tether ball and a shelf full of board games. All in all, you'll have six TVs, six DVD players, a Roku in every room, a stereo/CD player, and surround sound to provide hours of viewing and listening enjoyment. For something a little quieter, take advantage of the bookshelf housing nearly 50 books on the main floor and catch up on some reading. Before turning in for the night, leave your kids to play Nerf basketball in the bunk rooms, use the telescope to gaze at the stars, and bring a mug of hot cocoa outside to the swing on the second-floor deck. Waves of Lunasea is conveniently located near restaurants, shops, amusements, windsurfing, a fishing pier, and easy groceries at Liberty gas station, Dollar General, and Waves Market and Deli. You'll also enjoy having high-speed WiFi for your devices while on vacation. Take advantage of the home's central heat and AC to keep everyone comfortable no matter the time of year. Great house and great location!

We enjoyed our stay at Waves of Lunasea! The house was well-maintained and clean when we arrived. Hatteras Realty sent all the information we needed in a timely manner and were responsive. The only reason that I gave the place 4 starts was because we had a few hiccups with the pool and internet. Both things were fixed, but it is a little disappointing to pay so much money in a high season to not have two pretty important things available upon arrival. But I also wouldn't put the issues down as neglect or issues with how Hatteras Realty runs business. They were responsive and did what they could. We'd definitely come back!

What a warm, welcoming and sparkly clean home with beautiful deck views of the ocean and the Sound. The pool area was clean, the hot tub was hot, and the amenities were great.. they thought of all the little extras! Located on a quiet street with a very short walk to the beach. Easy check in/check out and fast communication from the host. We just really loved it! Definitely a nice find in the Outer Banks!

This was our crews second stay in this house!! The guys really enjoyed their stay, it had everything needed to cook, comfortable beds and freat space to relax and unwind!! Super responsive hosts!! We will definitely be back.

We always enjoy staying at this beach house and can’t wait to stay there again! The house is amazing and has plenty of space and rooms. The house offers great amenities like a pool, fire pit, and hot tub, but the major perk is how close it is to the ocean. The area has a few restaurants nearby but Kitty Hawk, Duck, and Kill Devil Hills is a short drive away. The owners were super accommodating as well. Would highly recommend.

This was our second time staying at Waves of Lunasea. My husband and I visited back in '08 or '09ish. We had a great time back then and were so excited when we saw the listing and could now bring our kiddos. Great home with small pool. The lawn service got a ton of grass in the pool. We called Vacasa and they sent a pool guy out next day. Beds were comfortable. My kids greatly appreciated the games, air hockey table and pac man video arcade. Would return again

The couches appeared new, and we loved having the space to lounge and watch movies at night. The bedrooms accommodated everyone in our party! The beds were comfy with plenty of sheets and pillows. There was so much to do at the house, with board games, Pac Man video game, hot tub, swimming pool, fire bit, volleyball net, and hammock (that was my favorite spot!). Very close to the beach, and fun activities to do around the area. I highly recommend this home. We have already made plans to return next summer. :)

Great beach house!

House was perfect for our family. Ocean views were great on top deck. Love the quietness of Rodanthe. Walking distance to several restaurants. I was going to book house again for next year but price went up almost 3x times the price for 2025. If that’s the case I’ll rent somewhere else.

Our family had a great time. We loved the hot tub and pool. We also loved the Pac-Man machine and the Air Hockey Table. There were a ton of books upstairs with hammock outside to relax. Super short walk to the beach. The dunes weren’t awful to climb either compared to some other homes we’ve stayed at. Overall had an excellent vacation.

My boyfriend and I stayed here during Memorial Day weekend and it was the perfect weekend getaway. We had the whole place to ourselves and Rodanthe at our fingertips. The beach is super close and easy to walk to and from. There are a few shops, restaurants, and activities to do nearby, and Kitty Hawk, Kill Devils Hill and Nags Head are just a short drive away. The house itself is spacious and beautiful and offered great amenities like a pool, hot tub, bbq pit, and plenty of nostalgic board games. We’re already planning our next trip to Rodanthe!

Nice short walk to the beach. The local residents near by were very friendly. The area was so quiet and relaxing which is what we were hoping for.

Sunrise on the back deck and sunset on the front deck. There is not a house directly behind this one so you have a beautiful view of the ocean. About a two block walk to the ocean (if you walk down the street that the house is one, you will need to climb over a dune). But if you go one block over, to the pier (parking available) you can walk right on to the beach. House was fully stocked. House was clean when we checked in. We found out the last day, but best grocery option is the Liberty gas station about a mile before the house if you’re coming from the north.

Fun in the pool. Beautiful beach. Awesome sand dunes. Great local fishing! Book it and enjoy. We took the ferry from South Carolina here, best times adventure good times so much fun! Beyond cool :-)

A very lovely stay!

My family and I greatly enjoyed our stay here. The house and location were fantastic and we enjoyed all the amenities offered including the bike and umbrella delivery! The 2 minute walk to the beach was wonderful. It was necessary to purchase paper goods, towels and blankets due to COVID-19 which we were not prepared for. We would love to return next year! Thank you so very much!
