Welcome to Floyd's Retreat, a coastal charmer with partial ocean views and quick beach access! Recently remodeled, this lovely home comes fully stocked for a memorable vacation. Sitting on a corner lot of land, the exterior of Floyd's retreat boasts expansive decks, a gas grill, and pool access at nearby Club Hatteras. When you aren't relishing wonderful views from the decks, walk across the street to beach access, or take a walk around the dog and bicycle-friendly neighborhood. Numerous local restaurants and shops are also within walking distance, ensuring your every craving is satisfied. Inside Floyd's Retreat, you'll discover warm wood finishes, dog-friendly amenities, and modern appliances. The comfortable living room displays ample seating and a large smart TV. Steps from here, the full kitchen is sure to delight any chef with its granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and center island. When it's time to eat, dining is made just as easy at the formal dining table. Decorated for comfort and style, the four bedrooms are adorned with soft linens, nautical decorations, TVs, and central air-conditioning. A private washer/dryer and internet access round out the stellar list of interior amenities. As evening begins to fall and the stars fill the night sky, head for the upper deck where the views you gaze upon will stay with you for a lifetime.

Things to Know:
Check-in time: All guests shall abide by the good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity.
Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.
Dare County homes: Occupancy limited to (enter number = to 2 people per bedroom) as per Dare County septic regulations.
Guests have access to our pool at Club Hatteras; located at 41156 Hwy 12, Avon. The pool is typically open Memorial Day through Labor Day - weather permitting and subject to close without notice.

Very nice house, clean, quiet neighborhood and just have to cross street to get to beach path!

Check in was later (5pm) and check out was earlier (10am-which contributed to us not having as much time to tidy up before we left as we would have liked) than most air bnbs or hotels I have stayed at, and was rather inconvenient. But it was as advertised and all things considered was a great stay.

The title of my review is a fact! We've been coming to the Outerbanks for over 15 years, and this house is the best I've stayed at. It was the most stocked, clean, comfortable, with the best location ever: directly across the path to the beach, and a walking distance to the pier on the sound side. Even without a pool or a hot tub, I love this house the most, as I felt at home right away. Too bad we had to leave early due to the hurricane, I wish we had a full week here! Hope to come back!

Floyd’s Retreat is a gem!

We absolutely loved our time at Floyd’s Retreat. Our two families met there from Asheville & California and the house gave us a wonderful home to connect, relax, and enjoy the beach. The beach was a short walk across the street and through the Dunes. The ice cream shop down the street was fun, and we enjoyed exploring Cape Hatteras. It was great to be able to have a dog with us. We would love to book again!!!

Nice house, while not beach front, the distance to walk to the beach is actually less than a lot of actual beach front homes. It was a very nice house with comfortable beds. It did have sheets and towels, the listing had conflicting information on this. If looking for solitude on the beach, not going to get much better than this.
