Overall, this is a great stay in a great location, we love the southern islands. The house is only a block from the beach so the walk is pretty nice as well. The house was perfect for a nice relaxing few winter days with friends (we came in on New Year's Eve). There will always be some downsides to every house that will get nit picked, but nothing we couldn't look past during our stay. Would recommend staying here if you have kids with the ease of access to the beach and the pool/hot tub. A bunch of games, pool table was nice, and even though we didn't use it as we only had a infant with us, the bunk room looked to have everything a kid would need to stay occupied (especially on a rainy day).

Great house with ocean and sound view's. The kids loved the pool. Us adults enjoyed the hot tub and pool table. Its a bit of a walk to the beach. We drove down further for a more flat entrance to the beach as us old people wear out fast.....knees, hips...ect Would recommend

The property was clean and just as advertised. The pool was nice for days when the beach had rough surf or on/off rain. Also, good to work with our young grandchildren on learning to swim.

We loved the house! It looks even better than pictured. The kitchen has all new appliances and has everything you need. Lots of large bathrooms and good size bedrooms. We loved the pool, hot tub, and pool table. All the large decks provided great ocean and sound views. The porch swing was so nice that overlooked the ocean. I do wish they had a grill we ended up having to bring our own. Also, the grass wasn’t cut before our stay it was very tall. All in all a wonderful trip and house!!

Lovely house, comfortable furnishings, lots of deck space, nice pool and hot tub. Appliances were very nice and clean. We had an issue with the dishwasher and the repairman came out and addressed the issue within 90 minutes of my call even though it was Mother's Day Sunday! We totally enjoyed our stay. The only detriments were that there was no cabinet/pantry space for any non-perishables you would bring; some baking sheets and steamer/spaghetti pot were rusty. Also one of the upper deck railings was somewhat loose and wobbly. All and all, a very nice property with very responsive management.

The location is great, halfway between the sound and the ocean. Walking distance to some shops, and rental spots for bikes and water sports. The nearly 360 top floor deck made it great for views sunset off the front, and sunrise on the back deck. House was very clean. Hot tube was great in the evenings to sooth out muscles from the long walks on the beach. Salvo is very quiet but it’s central location on the OBX allowed for easy day trips to Buxton to the south and Kill devil hills to the north. A great spot if you want to take in all of the lighthouses. We were able to get all of our tourists sightseeing in the first 3 days leaving the last 2 days for straight up relaxation!! Bring your Jeep sign up for the OVR registration on the national parks website, being able to drive right out to your own personal spot on the beach makes it super easy!! They allow beer and dogs on the beach!!! So used to the highly regulated beaches of SC. I am in customer service and I have gotten used to bad service and it seems to be getting worse every time we travel. What a pleasant change we had in the OBX every where we went the service was great Waterman’s grill, Neptunes Dive Bar, Austin’s seafood, and the Blue Whale all in the Salvo area were great. We hit The Jolly Roger, The Brew House, Swells’a brewing, and Jack Browns up north and everything was awesome. The only thing to be aware of is that many places are not open on Monday and Tuesday so make sure you plan things out well. We are hoping to book this house again soon with more people. We had the place to ourselves and we want to share it next time. All of the rooms looked nice. And all of the rooms have direct access to a deck!!
