Very very well appointed and equipped with far more kitchen amenities than listed! Everything was in great shape, enough supplies to get you started, an easy walk to the beach. Elevator made packing in and out a breeze and the views from the hot tub at sunset were magical. Highly recommend!

I find beach homes rarely live up to their photos. This one actually exceeded my family's expectations. It's bright, spacious, clean, and comfortable, and has great view and a well stocked kitchen. Great for a big group. It's also great in terms of accessibility features -- a ramp into the house plus an elevator, a spacious bedroom with a spacious bathroom and shower safety features, and lots of room to maneuver and get around. Finding an accessible friendly beach house is challenging sometimes, and this is the best one we've rented so far. It made a huge difference for my family. Would gladly stay here again.

We stayed at this house with a group of 3 grandparents, 2 parents, 3 kids and a baby. It was perfect for what we needed! The house truly felt like staying in the vacation home of a friend. There are thoughtful pictures, decorations, and practical items everywhere. We really loved the main living area for gathering together to eat, movie nights, and play. The outdoor shower and clotheslines were perfect for what we needed. It is a longer walk to the beach than we were used to because the dunes are wide in Salvo, but we adjusted! What was a game changer is that this house is stocked with baby toys and enough board games & books to last you a lifetime. It was the best stocked for indoor activities of any beach house we have ever stayed in at OBX (we've been coming every year for the past decade). I would absolutely recommend this house to another group looking for a family stay together!

My parents are in their 70s and the fact that this house had an elevator was amazing! Salvo Sunset gave my parents the opportunity to enjoy OBX; and, the beach wheelchair, the ability for them to enjoy the beach! I am so happy everything about this house was wheelchair accessible and for older individuals. It was a dream! We also had my mother in law, husband, and our two boys (under 10). The house is STOCKED full of games! Like full on toystore stocked. My mom was able to relax in the book nook, which she loved. Again, there were as many books as a library! The house was so clean and welcoming. The glimpses of the blue ocean from the living room was so relaxing. The beds were comfortable and plenty of blankets and extra pillows. The house is open and bright with all the amenities you need and want. Stayed with my adult children and 81 yo mother who would never have been able to come were it not for the elevator! Close to the beach and stores. Would definitely recommend! Thank you!

The house is beautifully designed, decorated and well maintained. The Great Room is the highlight full of light, windows and beautiful colors and beautiful yet comfortable furniture. It’s a wonderful family home and very welcoming.

My husband and I and are dog loved this house. It has been decorated with care and a warmth that is so welcoming. The Great room on the top floor is a place you will never want to leave. So, many windows, such beautiful colors and so much comfort. I loved that this beach house has been in this family for over 53 years. There is a kindness to this place. We actually had several bad weather days and we were perfectly happy just to relax in this lovely house. We most definitely will come back! Thank you!

Probably the best house I've ever stayed in outer banks. Huge common area, well stocked kitchen. There are no stairs on the decks, so you don't have to bring a baby gate for the dogs, which is nice. Very clean, lots of games and books. Definitely the best pillows on the beds I've ever seen. And there's even extra pillows and blankets! You can walk to the beach! Beautiful lighting in the common area and a surround sound system that uses bluetooth. The ice maker in the freezer is a huge bonus!

The home was amazing- I call it a home and not a house because of all the personal touches. The decks were great for reading a book, awesome house surround sound system, Roku TVs etc. Beach access is right down the street and a sound side day use area about 1/2 mile away.

Spacious, clean, well stocked kitchen, overall awesome vibe. The beach was great- the walk over the dunes was our daily exercise. Great week reconnecting with family and friends who were staying around the corner. Loved the personal family touches.

It’s a terrific house in every way possible. The only thing stopping us from renting it again is that it won’t be dog friendly next year. Otherwise this would be our top choice every year.

Sad that this will not be a doggo-friendly house next summer. We loved being able to walk to both the bay and the surf side quickly. The house itself was very well-equipped. Extra blankets by the couch and in the bedrooms. We brought our own pillows but immediately popped them back in the car. The kitchen was well equipped and the water pressure in the bathrooms was phenomenal. The layout was fantastic. We didn’t even attempt to use the elevator, but it’s a nice feature. We own a single story ranch in the Midwest, so our four-legged friend doesn’t know how to navigate stairs politely while leashed. The ramp outside was very beneficial for exiting and re-entering the house with him. Highly recommended home!

We had an amazing family vacation at Salvo Sunset, which included our furry family member. The house was so clean and bright exactly as depicted in the photos and was fully stocked with all the appliances, cutlery, dishes and cookware we needed to enjoy plenty of family meals. We took advantage of the great location, walking to the beach frequently for strolls and shell collecting and also were able to catch a beautiful sunset with a short walk to the Salvo Day Use area to watch the sun go down over the sound. From the moment we arrived, the service from Vacasa was seamless and the staff made sure to check-in and provide text and emails with useful information throughout our stay. I highly recommend Salvo Sunset as well as Vacasa if you are looking for a high quality vacation where you are not left a laundry list of tasks to perform to end your vacation. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home and for making our family vacation so enjoyable. It was just what we needed and we were all a little sad to leave.

The home had everything we needed and wanted - super spacious, comfy, and convenient for our laid back agenda. The short walk to the beach was a dream, and the street was nice and quiet during our time. The hot tub was perfect, and the elevator was a HUGE plus in getting our groceries up to the kitchen. The only minor frustration was having to log into the internet every day - the kids liked to settle in at night to watch a show, so having to constantly log back in for that, and while I was remote working, was a little inconvenient. Definitely not enough to deter us for coming back :) LOVED THIS HOME!

This property was perfect. We had 3 couples and 1 7-year old boy. The setup was excellent for all of us with the bedroom/bathroom situation and the living areas were beautiful, spacious and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the deck and the hot tub. Walking distance to the beach. Beautiful, new, large kitchen made fixing meals very easy. We would definitely book this again!

Carolina Moon was a great house for the three families in our group. The deck and pool furniture was amazing. The multiple levels were perfect for the teenagers to have their own space away from the adults. The deck and pool furniture were exceptional. Perfect size for a couple or small family group; great beach proximity and the path to the beach over the dunes is not to steep; my wife and I enjoyed watching all the families traipsing over the dune with all their gear and kids and dogs in tow.
