South Beach Park invites you to experience the perfect sophisticated vacation! Located in South Beach Community, this retreat enjoys luxurious furnishings along with meticulous attention to detail. Our home features eight main suites, spectacular living and dining areas, a private pool, and a modern game room with a seven-foot pool table! Situated on the edge of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore Preserve, South Beach is for anyone who wants the best of sun, sand, and waves! Experience a spectacular, private beach on the edge of the nature park with plenty of space for sunning and surfing! South Beach Park features panoramic views of the ocean, park, and sound from its living areas. You'll have a huge kitchen with two cooktops, two dishwashers, two sinks, a double oven, an island prep and cooking area, and granite countertops with a breakfast bar! The spacious and open living and dining rooms offer plenty of space for relaxing. There is a wonderful bird's-eye-view from the cozy breakfast nook! Surround sound systems inside and out are on the upper and pool levels. There are spacious private bedrooms, each with its own private bath, television, and DVD players! On the third floor, the main suite has a jacuzzi and a separate shower in the bathroom. On the second floor, there are three main suites (one with a jacuzzi tub and shower), and a two-bunk bedroom main suite, plus a laundry area. On the first floor, you'll find three main suites, a large game room and bar, and a separate pub table. The bar has two televisions for those sporting fans! There is cable television in the living room, bar, and each bedroom! The elevator makes grocery stocking and luggage handling a breeze! The private dolphin pool may be fully heated (when needed) at minimal added cost! The pool area also features a private outside shower, a bathroom, and an additional outside shower. Wraparound decks on all three floors offer plenty of sunshine and air! There are also two outdoor deck picnic areas. You'll have lots of outside seating with beautiful views of the ocean and sound, plus volleyball, basketball, and horseshoe areas. South Beach boasts a pristine, gorgeous beach which is a short walk from the house (less than five minutes). There is also community access to the beach from a general-use boardwalk (about 500-feet long over private dunes) to an unbelievably long, wide, and secluded beach. Next to the nature park, so there is plenty of room and privacy!

We enjoyed a week in June for four generations - ranging in age from 2-91! The house is perfectly situated with views of both ocean and sound - all walkable. There’s a boardwalk which helped our elders to be able to join the rest of the family on the beach. The house is very well equipped - kitchen, appliances, utensils, etc. We had an overall terrific week of bonding and fun, and would recommend this house and setting for a large group!

Four Gen Getaway

We enjoyed a week in June for four generations - ranging in age from 2-91! The house is perfectly situated with views of both ocean and sound - all walkable. There’s a boardwalk which helped our elders to be able to join the rest of the family on the beach. The house is very well equipped - kitchen, appliances, utensils, etc. We had an overall terrific week of bonding and fun, and would recommend this house and setting for a large group!

This year marked our 45th annual week-long stay in the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Since our first humble tent camping stay at the NPS Salvo Campground (now the Salvo Day Use Area) 47 years ago, the composition of our vacation group has changed from friends, to families, to multi-generation extended family. We've had the opportunity to stay in many vacation rental homes up and down the island as our needs grew. This year we needed an extra large home, and this one simply ranks as one of the best we've ever rented. The overall cleanliness and consistent attention to detail is evident in the abundant quantity of kitchen fixtures, cookware, and quality dinnerware. The labeling of drawers, cabinets, and light-switches was very helpful. Bedrooms were comfortable and each had its own television and private bathroom. We never heard complaints about the WiFi speed or reliability from our demanding younger family members! The saltwater pool was clean, well-tended by professional staff, and surprisingly large enough for our group of active youngsters. The infant/toddler booster seats, port-a-crib, and furnishings were also helpful. The reasonable walking distance to a very wide beach, nearby sound side access, and nearby ORV ramps were all appreciated. In short, we have only positive things to say about this location and home.

This house is in a perfect location -- halfway between the surf and sound -- about two blocks to either water location. We are a 4 generation family ranging in age from 10 months - 90 years! This house made for a perfect Outer Banks vacation for us all. The boardwalk made for easy crossing for the 90 year old, and the beach is the greatest sandbox for the little ones. The house was perfectly equipped for 8 adults and 7 kids.The dining room table seats 10 easily, and can be reduced in size by removing a leaf. There's a picnic table on the deck, where the kids enjoyed all their meals. There are two portable cribs for babies, and two booster seats with trays for toddlers. The kitchen is beautifully set up with two cooktops, two ovens, two sinks, and two dishwashers -- as well as equipment and tableware a-plenty! There's a refrigerator in the kitchen, billiard room, and in the pool house! There were televisions galore, but our family didn't turn on one -- we had too much fun together at the beach, sound, and pool. All these amenities made our stay so fun and more relaxing! We hope to return someday!
